MAJOR MACAU PENINSULA AND TAIPA ISLAND HOTELS AND CASINOS
I thought I would add some information on the non-Cotai Macau hotels and casinos since there is a lot going on outside of Cotai as well.
When you look at Macau as a whole (Macau plus Cotai plus Taipa), Macao could be nearing 60,000 hotel rooms over the next five years, up from about 10,000 hotel rooms just a few short years ago, according to a Las Vegas Sands executive. On the casino front, the Macau government reports 25 casinos throughout all of Macau as of June 2007, with another ten to be added by 2010.
I don’t follow the Macau Peninsula as closely as I should, so if anyone catches an error or an omission, please let me know and I’ll fix it. Except for the Crown Macau, everything below is located on the Macau Peninsula and is what I would consider one of the “major” hotel casinos.
